Boy Hero Palm Bay, FL | Restaurant Review

Boy Hero Palm Bay FL is a no-frills sandwich shop serving bold, authentic flavors that hit all the right notes. If you’re craving mouthwatering street food, skip the drive-thru and head to Boy Hero on Babcock Street in Melbourne. Hidden in an unassuming plaza strip is the best burger I’ve had in Palm Bay and a real-deal cheesesteak worth writing home about.

Boy Hero is the creation of Chef Michael Di Bella, a Brooklyn native with over 25 years in the food industry. His background ranges from running New York pizza joints to South Florida fine dining spots. His latest venture brings it all back to basics, focusing on elevated street food inspired by his son Mikey. When asked who his favorite hero was, five-year-old Mikey replied, “Me! I’m a boy hero.” The name stuck, and the rest went down in delicious history.
Location and Atmosphere

Step inside, and you’ll find a simple setup with a touch of personality. The space has fun food animations, superhero decor, and classic movie posters that bring out your inner kid. The vibe is casual, inviting, and exactly what you’d expect from a place serving comfort food that speaks for itself.
The Belly Bombers

We started with the Belly Bombers: three Queen’s Castles sliders with grilled onions and Land O’Lakes American cheese. Think of the best greasy burger you’ve ever had. Got it? That’s this slider. Just the right size to satisfy your hunger without overdoing it. The onions are perfectly caramelized, the cheese is melty and nostalgic, and the soft buns make this a home run.
The Double Double

Next up was their best-seller, the Double Double: two grilled burgers, two slices of American cheese, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, garlic pickles, and house sauce. A flavor bomb from start to finish. The patties are juicy with crispy edges, the toppings are fresh, and the house sauce is the star—tangy, a little sweet, and totally addictive. It’s one of those burgers that’s gone before you even realize it.
South Philly Cheesesteak

Then came the South Philly Cheesesteak, a Northeastern classic done right. Grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, and provolone melt into a heap of tender steak on fresh, toasted bread. The peppers have that perfect charred flavor, and the cheese blends beautifully with the juicy steak. It’s of those sandwiches you could order any day of the week and never get tired of.
Boom Boom Chicken Roll Up

Our final dish was the Boom Boom Chicken Roll Up, filled with crispy fried chicken, chili pepper aioli, pepper jack cheese, romaine, and tomatoes. The aioli adds the perfect touch of smoky, sweet heat. Refreshing yet indulgent, it’s a great pick when you want something lighter without skipping on flavor.

We also tried their side of fries and onion rings, served with nacho cheese sauce and their signature house sauce. Fried to golden perfection, crispy, and satisfying, it’s everything a side should be.
Why Boy Hero is worth a Visit
It’s safe to say Boy Hero Palm Bay has earned a permanent spot on my list of local favorites. After just under two years in business, this spot has proven it’s more than just a sandwich shop — it’s a Palm Bay staple in the making. If you’re after bold, comforting street food that satisfies every craving, Boy Hero Palm Bay is the place to go.
