Burger Inn Restaurant Review – Melbourne, FL

Burger Inn is a roadside gem serving up more than just burgers—it’s dishing out a blast from the past. With curbside service and a menu full of bold, playful flavor combos, this spot has been serving Brevard since 1952—delivering a laid back experience that hits the sweet spot between comfort food and retro cool. Older guests will appreciate the throwback vibe, while younger diners will love the fun photo-worthy details. And the best part? After your meal, you’re just a 10-minute drive from Indialantic Beach, perfect for walking off that burger by the ocean breeze.

Step inside, and you’re instantly transported to a different era. The diner-style interior is packed with retro regalia—Elvis Presley memorabilia, Coca-Cola collectibles, Betty Boop figurines, and checkered booth stools that are begging for a photo-op. And just to your left, you’ll catch a glimpse of the kitchen crew working their magic. With its red, black, and classic checkered theme, the space oozes nostalgia and charm in all the right ways.
I walked into Burger Inn hungry and ready to dive into some classic American comfort food. I kicked things off with the much-praised Chili Cheese Fries, loaded with their house-made chili. Spice lovers, this one’s for you—the chili brings the heat. The fries were crispy and fresh, and the cheese sauce had that savory nostalgic flavor we all know and love. To wash it down, I ordered their handmade strawberry shake—thick, creamy, and packed with real strawberry flavor. I could’ve easily polished off the whole tray of fries, but there was more to come.
A quick glimpse at their Famous Burgers and you’ll recognize some familiar names: The Ritchie, The Elvis, The Monroe. I went for the John Wayne first—stacked with thick, crispy bacon, melted cheddar, oversized onion rings, and a generous drizzle of barbecue sauce. The sauce was sweet with a hint of spice, balancing perfectly with the savory bacon and crunchy onion rings. It was the kind of burger that demands your full attention—and both hands.
Next up was the Pickle Rick, named after the fan-favorite character from Rick and Morty. This burger brought together two of my favorite things: fried pickles and a juicy patty. It’s topped with crisp lettuce and finished with a drizzle of ranch, giving it a bold, tangy kick. If you’re into punchy flavors, this one’s for you. The zing from the ranch and the crunch of those fried pickles made this burger unlike any I’ve ever had before.

I couldn’t leave without trying their sundae. Three scoops of classic vanilla ice cream, drenched in caramel, chocolate, and strawberry sauce, then topped with a cloud of whipped cream and two perfectly ripe bananas. Every bite had that old-school ice cream parlor charm. It’s messy, over-the-top, and totally worth it.
Burger Inn is a time machine dishing out comfort food with character, where family members serve up meals with a personal touch. From the moment you pull in, till your last spoonful of sundae, it’s clear this place runs on more than just nostalgia—it runs on heart. Come hungry, because the portions are generous, and the flavors pack a punch. Whether you’re a longtime local or just passing through, Burger Inn proves that some classics never go out of style.
