Coffee House 1420 – Restaurant Review

I first heard about this coffee house concept what seems like almost 3 years ago now. I became friends with owner, Chef Michael Glatz and I’ve been following his journey on Facebook to bring this place to Vero Beach. When he was a young man, he dreamed one day of opening a neighborhood coffee shop in his elder years where his staff and his customers would become family, and it never felt like he was going to work everyday. Although he faced many challenges, he still somehow managed to push through them all and opened Coffee House 1420 in October 2020. I finally had a chance to stop by the other day and let me tell you, what he has created here is nothing short of spectacular! The layout and design of the restaurant rivals even the largest of coffee chains spread all across the country. The menu, while simplistic, every item he serves is of the highest quality and made with the finest ingredients he could find. Everything I tasted was fantastic, but I can’t stop thinking about his Cuban sandwich. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s THE BEST in the area! Oh, and the coffee is pretty great too!

  1. This looks lovely. Social distancing? Servers wearing masks? Take out?

We have always supported local restaurants as opposed to chains but are very cautious still.
