Conchy Joe’s Seafood Restaurant Review – Jensen Beach, FL

If you’re looking for a place that blends Old Florida charm with bold island flavors and waterfront vibes, Conchy Joe’s in Jensen Beach is the spot. A beloved institution for 75 years, this iconic restaurant recently made waves with a new addition that opened in December—bringing its seating capacity to a whopping 700 guests across vibrant spaces like the Main Bar and the newly added Joe’s Bar, complete with a cozy fire pit.

Led by Executive Chef David Gould, the refreshed menu offers a creative mix of coastal classics and unique crowd-pleasers that’ll have you planning your next visit before you finish your first bite.

It had been several years since my last visit to Conchy Joe’s, and to say I was stunned by the expansion would be an understatement. The place has transformed while still holding onto its Old Florida charm. As we made our way to the table on a picture-perfect afternoon, we were welcomed by a gentle saltwater breeze, waterfront views, and warm, genuine hospitality. From that moment on, the experience only got better. We sampled a variety of dishes, and as a seafood lover, I was in absolute paradise.

Alligator Tid Bits appetizer at Conchy Joe’s in Jensen Beach, FL

Alligator Tid Bits: We started with the Alligator Tid Bits—crispy, tender, and served with a sauce that’s got just the right amount of bite (pun fully intended).

Vegan Fun Dip appetizer from the happy hour menu at Conchy Joe’s

Fun Dip: Then there was the Fun Dip—yes, you read that right. Inspired by the nostalgic candy, this playful dish comes with its own bag and packs a punch of pistachio flavor. It’s 100% vegan and has become a surprise hit on the happy hour menu. According to the chef, the idea was born in the front seat of his truck, watching his daughter enjoy a Fun Dip candy. We love a good origin story.

Yard Bird Sliders with fried chicken, pickles, slaw, and pepper jack cheese at Conchy Joe’s

Yard Bird Slider: Get ready for a Southern-style flavor bomb—Conchy Joe’s Yard Bird Sliders bring the crunch. These generous sliders feature crispy fried pickle-brined chicken breasts stacked high with melted pepper jack cheese, punchy pickle chips, and creamy southern slaw, all tucked into pillowy slider buns. The chicken is juicy and tender with a satisfying kick, but fair warning: if you’re a pickle lover, these sliders are your jam.

Shrimp Over Scallop Risotto with spinach at Conchy Joe’s in Jensen Beach, FL

Shrimp Over Scallop Risotto: Conchy Joe’s isn’t afraid to break a few culinary rules—and thank goodness for that. Their Shrimp Over Scallops Risotto is a bold twist on a classic, featuring perfectly blackened shrimp resting atop a rich, creamy risotto infused with tender scallops and fresh spinach. The seasoning on the shrimp has just the right amount of kick, balancing beautifully with the velvety texture of the risotto. Every bite is indulgent, satisfying, and unapologetically creative. It’s the kind of dish that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about seafood risotto.

Seafood Feast platter with shrimp, mussels, crab, clams, chorizo, corn, and potatoes at Conchy Joe’s

Seafood Feast: The Seafood Feast is a true ocean-to-table celebration. This generously portioned dish includes a quarter pound each of U-peel-em shrimp, PEI mussels, and seasonal crab, plus six fresh Florida clams, all tossed together with smoky chorizo, sweet corn, and tender red potatoes. The whole feast is bathed in a rich Old Bay Tequila butter that adds just the right amount of zest. It’s bold, buttery, and built for sharing—though I wouldn’t blame you if you keep it all to yourself.

Sweet Potato Crusted Salmon with sautéed vegetables at Conchy Joe’s

Sweet Potato Crusted Salmon: This was easily my favorite dish. The salmon is perfectly seared — tender and flaky inside with a crisp, golden sweet potato crust that adds just the right hint of sweetness. Topped with fresh herbs and served alongside a sautéed vegetable medley, this dish delivered on both taste and presentation.

Rum Runner and Bimini Martini cocktails served together at Conchy Joe’s waterfront bar in Jensen Beach, FL

And of course, no visit is complete without a drink in hand. The Rum Runner (pictured on the right) is fruity, refreshing, and dangerously smooth. Prefer something stronger? The Bimini Martini (pictured on the left) hits the spot with its bold, less-sweet profile.
