Flanagan Vineyards Wine Dinner

This past Wednesday, May 19th I attended the Flanagan Vineyard Wine Dinner at Heaton’s Vero Beach! If you are not familiar with this restaurant & bar, it’s located at the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa and is adjacent to the swimming pool area. Winemaker, Eric Flanagan flew in from California to attend this event and talk about his wines with each course. Chef Tom Dolan and his Culinary Team prepared a very unique 5 course dinner with wines paired with each course. The culinary team’s use of flavors, textures, and colors in all of their dishes always make dining here very pleasing, not only to the eye, but the palate as well!

Kaui Head-On Shrimp – Glass noodles, papaya, ruby red grapefruit
Pistachio-Crusted Scallops – grilled pickled peaches, watercress, citrus, and a soy reduction
Lobster and Dumplings – Pahokee corn, maitake, holy trinity
Veal Porchetta – Golden raisins, plums, braised swiss chard, beauty of three reduction
Pomegranate Goat Cheese Cake – Candied lemon, sage, and Syrah essence
