Greedy Burger – Restaurant Review

Shortly after this place first opened, we grabbed take out for our weekly family dinner and we were not that impressed. We gave them the benefit of the doubt because they were still very new, and we figured we would let them work out the kinks and try them again in a few months. I also fully agree that a first experience at any restaurant should be dine-in, because anything that spends more than 10 minutes in a To-Go container is not the same experience as you get when you dining there.

Greedy Burger’s Entry for the Burgers & Brews Contest

Fast forward to June 2021 and to the United Against Poverty’s Burgers & Brews festival. I was one of the official judges and Greedy Burger was one of the participating restaurants, so I was anxious to see what they came up with. While we didn’t know which burger came from which restaurant until after the contest, I was impressed with their entry (see photo above). Even though they were not the winning burger, their burger was one of the juiciest and best presented in the contest. This piqued my interest to try them again, so I reached out to the owner, Tessa Adams to setup an official review.

Now let’s dive right in and see what this place has to offer and what I had to eat!

Dining Room
Side of Tator Tots – Fried till golden brown, they were nice and crispy! Add chili or cheese (or both) for a slight up charge.
Greedy Dog – Includes chili, cheese, onions, and jalapeno slices for an extra kick! The brioche bun was nicely toasted, and the all-beef hotdog had great flavor, and the jalapenos added a little spicy kick!
Greedy Azz Burger – Get ready to unhinge your jaw for this one! Starting from the bottom, it’s made with pickle chips, two 6 oz patties covered with American cheese, bacon, fried egg, hash brown patty, two onion rings, tomato, lettuce, and crowned with a soft brioche bun! I took the onion rings off to help squish it down a bit so I could try and take a bite. I think I did pretty good, but after a few bites it I had to finish it with a fork. The 80/20 beef is fresh, never frozen, and cooked to order for each customer. All ingredients were fresh and the burger was quite tasty!
Butterfinger Milkshake – If you have been following me for a while now, then you know that I LOVE anything chocolate & peanut butter! When they mentioned this shake, I said “That ONE!” before they could even finish their sentence! A vanilla shake is mixed with finely chopped butter finger candy, and topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and a bite sized Butterfinger candy. It was so rich and creamy! You gotta try it!
Classic Banana Split – This was a nice surprise! While I was aware they had their awesome milkshakes, I didn’t know they also had sundae’s too! The ice cream seemed softer than your typical hard packed ice cream, which is usually an indicator that it has a higher butter fat content which makes is smoother and creamier. Bring a friend, you’re gonna need help with this one, it’s HUGE!
