Indian Cafe Restaurant Review

I was excited for this review for two reasons. First, I don’t have much experience with Indian food. My family doesn’t like curry, so this is a cuisine that we never go out for. Second, we are in need a good Indian restaurant in this area. Anytime someone asks in our Facebook foodie groups about it, the answer is to go to Melbourne. If you are not that familiar with Indian food, most of their dishes are based on Curry, which is a complex combination of spices which includes turmeric, cumin, coriander, ginger, and chilies. These spices give the food a very deep earthy flavor that is not for everyone. Most people associate Indian food with spicy food, which is not the case. They asked me what heat level, from 0 to 10 that I would like, so you can personalize it to your own personal preference. All the food is freshly prepared to order and was really delicious!

Now let’s dive right in and see what this place has to offer and what I had to eat!

THEY HAVE SINCE MOVED TO PORT ST LUCIE, SEE THE UPDATED ADDRESS BELOW

Samosas – One potato, chicken and beef. The pastry was light, flakey, and the fillings had tons of flavor!
Garlic Naan Bread – The bread was very fresh with a subtle hint of garlic.
Chana Masala – Chickpeas cooked in ginger & garlic paste, onion sauce and Indian spices, basmati rice included. This is just one of many vegetarian dishes on the menu. The chickpeas were tender and soaked up loads of flavor from the broth.
Palak Paneer – Fried Indian cheese cooked in ginger & garlic paste, spinach, onion sauce, tomatoes sauces, creamy milk and spices. Basmati rice included. I first thought the square chunks in this dish were tofu, but later found out that they were Indian cheese. The curry was green from the spinach and it was quite delicious!
Chicken Tikka Masala – Chicken Tikka in a tomato  sauces with ginger & garlic paste, cashews and creamy milk. This was my favorite dish I tasted during my visit. It had a sweet tomato curry flavor with tender chunks of chicken in it. I would definitely order this one again!
