Jolie American Bistro Restaurant Review – Palm Bay, FL

A taste of South Florida has arrived on the Space Coast. This Jolie American Bistro Restaurant Review explores one of Palm Bay’s most exciting new dining destinations. Open for only six months, the restaurant is already earning loyal repeat customers. Owner George, whose Miami restaurant is now run by his daughter, brought his passion and experience north to Palm Bay, creating a menu rooted in authentic flavors and refreshed regularly with new ideas.

Location & Atmosphere
Just off US-1, across from the Indian River Lagoon, Jolie American Bistro has quickly become a standout in the Palm Bay dining scene. Inside, it delivers a warm, approachable bistro setting that immediately puts guests at ease. The dining room is thoughtfully laid out with comfortable seating, soft lighting, and subtle design touches that create an inviting, relaxed environment without feeling overly formal. Whether you’re settling in for a leisurely dinner or gathering with friends and family, the space feels unpretentious and welcoming, allowing the food and the company at the table to take center stage.
Gambas Al Ajillo

I started my meal with the Gambas Al Ajillo: sautéed shrimp, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, Aleppo chili, and focaccia. Garlic lovers, take note. This is a must-order starter. The fried garlic infuses the olive oil, making the bread deeply savory with rich roasted notes. The shrimp were tender and perfectly cooked, popping with each bite. A gentle kick from the Aleppo chilis brings the dish to life, while the house-made focaccia delivers a satisfying crunch on the outside before soaking up the flavorful olive oil.
Fungi & Truffle Pizza

Next up was the Fungi & Truffle pizza. Jolie uses a wood-fired pizza oven to achieve that bubbly, char-kissed crust we all love. This pizza skips the tomato sauce and instead features black truffles, white truffle cream sauce, wild mushrooms, fior di latte mozzarella, and imported Parmesan. It is a true flavor bomb. The aroma of the mushrooms is instantly mouthwatering, and the white truffle cream sauce is so rich and well-balanced that I did not miss tomato sauce at all.
Pork Milanese

I had heard great things about the Pork Milanese, so of course I had to try it. This is a standout dish you will not find just anywhere. A breaded pork chop is topped with Stracciatella, tomatoes, arugula, balsamic glaze, and olive oil. When eaten together, the flavors are incredible. The hearty pork pairs beautifully with the freshness of the tomatoes and the bright, slightly sweet balsamic glaze, creating a dish that feels both indulgent and balanced.
Pasta Alla Genovese

I then took a quick detour to Italy with the Pasta Alla Genovese: slow-braised onion and beef ragù, red wine, Parmigiano Reggiano, and fresh bucatini. This dish is the result of onions cooking down for hours until they become deeply sweet and rich. The beef is fall-apart tender, coated in a luscious red wine sauce. The bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente, and its thicker shape makes the dish especially satisfying. This is the kind of meal I would order again and again, especially on a cooler winter night.
Cheesecake

The quality does not stop with the savory dishes. Jolie makes all of its desserts in-house, and the cheesecake might just be the shining star. It is the creamiest cheesecake I have ever had. Cooked with precision, it avoids the dense, traditional texture and instead lands somewhere between cheesecake and custard. It is topped with fresh strawberries, house-made whipped cream, and house-made caramel, then finished with delicate lady finger crumbs. No detail is overlooked. This dessert is a total knockout.

Why Jolie American Bistro is worth a visit
Jolie is a true testament to George’s love for the restaurant business. You can taste the care in every thoughtfully prepared ingredient and feel it in the warmth of the friendly waitstaff. The name Jolie comes from George’s nickname, “Jo,” and his wife’s nickname, “Lie,” a small but meaningful symbol of the family-centered spirit behind the restaurant. George takes great pride in his team, including his twin sons, Noah and Luca, who work in the kitchen. His focus is clear: quality ingredients, dishes made in-house, and an environment that feels relaxed and welcoming, where guests can slow down, gather, and enjoy time with the people who matter most.
