Melbourne Kitchen Restaurant Review – Melbourne, FL

Melbourne Kitchen Restaurant Review – Melbourne, FL – Melbourne Kitchen is carving out its place as the city’s go-to spot. Sleek, modern, and intentional, it’s the kind of restaurant Brevard has been needing. Though it’s only been open less than a year, this family-owned restaurant is already turning heads with a menu that’s bold, fresh, and full of variety.
Location & Atmosphere

Step inside and that same energy carries through. The space feels polished but still comforting, with a clean, contemporary dining room that’s easy to settle into. A separate back area can be closed off for private events or group dinners, while details like grass walls and neon signage add a playful, photo-ready touch without going over the top. There’s also outdoor seating, perfect for those cooler Florida nights.
Cocktails

We kicked things off with a couple of fun drinks to start our lunch on the right note. The Espresso Martini is refreshing and slightly indulgent, finished with a chocolate drizzle that adds sweetness to its bold, coffee-forward base. The Bloody Mary goes the other direction in the best way, built with a house spice mix. A stuffed olive and house-made pepper candied bacon take it to another level with smoky, sweet crunch.
Cinnamon Rolls

Our server, Brittany, mentioned she had fresh Cinnamon Rolls coming out of the oven, and that was all I needed to hear. Oversized but surprisingly balanced, it’s not overly sweet and heavy on cinnamon in the best way. Fluffy layers are packed with spice and finished with a vanilla bean icing that ties everything together.
Brussels Market Hash

The Brussels Market Hash brings a little bit of everything to the table. Tender corned beef lays down a rich base, balanced by honey-roasted Brussels sprouts cooked just right. Red onions and cherry tomatoes add freshness, while roasted garlic cuts through with a deeper, savory note. Topped with eggs (your way), breakfast potatoes, shaved parmesan, and a tangy garlic aioli, it all comes together in a way that feels cohesive.
Shrimp & Grits

Then came the Shrimp & Grits, easily some of the best I’ve had. The grits are incredibly buttery, with fontina and gouda melted in for a rich, creamy depth. The shrimp are cooked perfectly with a slight snap, while andouille sausage adds heat and jalapeño bacon crumbles bring crunch. Fried green tomatoes round it out with a subtle tang that cuts through the richness and keeps every bite balanced.
Bacon Apricot Jam Burger

Served on a toasted brioche bun, the Bacon Apricot Jam Burger is stacked with house-made bacon apricot jam, sharp white cheddar, a crispy onion ring, and truffle aioli. The sweetness of the jam plays perfectly with the savory elements, and what really stands out is the texture. The bacon and onion ring stay crisp, giving each bite that perfect mix of juicy, melty, and crunchy.
