Mother’s Day Brunch at Wind & Waves

I recently went to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and tried their Mother’s Day Brunch with my family and friends. It was amazing and there was so much food because it was a buffet style brunch. They had menu items like chicken and waffles, eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, hot cross buns and even an omelet station. You could get all the food you want with no limitations. Best thing was, it is great for kids, too!

My first plate I had included a hot cross bun, which tasted like a cinnamon roll, but a lot better. I also enjoyed the breakfast potatoes with peppers and onions which were very creamy and delicious. I had a Monte Cristo sandwich for the first time which was really different and unique.  Out of everything for my first helping, my favorite was the Monte Cristo sandwich because it had a great combination of egg batter dipped ham with cheese.

My second plate included a freshly made omelet with bacon, ham and cheese in it. On the same plate, I piled on a big piece of breakfast ham, bacon & sausage, with chicken and waffles, which was shaped like Mickey Mouse. The cheese grits were the best ones I think I have ever had because they were so creamy and so cheesy.

The dessert plate I chose out of all the sweet options was the bourbon bread pudding with salted caramel, some fruit, a cupcake, and worms and dirt (gummy worms and chocolate pudding).  It was an excellent sweet choice to finish off of this amazing brunch.

The resort gets a thumbs up from me because besides all of the awesome brunch items and there were a lot of fun activities for kids too!  Other than the beach, there was cornhole boards, a hammock, and beautiful grounds for kids to explore.

Jackson Harbin

Hi, I’m Jackson Harbin and I am obsessed all things food. Not only do I love cooking and baking at home, I enjoy eating out and meeting restaurant owners. Born and raised in Vero Beach, I think this town has some of the best restaurants in the state. I have critiqued food from a kid’s perspective for 4 years and I am excited to expand to The Treasure Coast Foodie. My passion and blogs have been followed on Facebook and Instagram by so many people I can’t even count. I am here to tell you about the best restaurants in my opinion and the ones I have yet to try. I prefer to eat local, however, I am always open to suggestions.
