2 Scoops Family Ice Cream Shop – Vero Beach, FL

2 Scoops Family Ice Cream Shop is bringing sweet smiles and cool treats to Vero Beach with a story rooted in joy. After 25 years in the interior blind and shutter industry, owner Phillip was ready for a new chapter—one filled with happiness and community. The idea sparked during a visit to an ice cream shop with his crew, where he witnessed an owner turn a customer’s disappointment into delight with a simple act of kindness. Inspired, Phillip set out to create that same welcoming atmosphere here in Vero. Originally from Daytona Beach, he chose Vero Beach for its charm and opportunity—finding a prime location with no other ice cream shops within five miles. After taste-testing several brands, he landed on Hershey’s for its creamy, flavorful quality. While the sign may still say “coming soon,” 2 Scoops Family Ice Cream Shop is officially open—and ready to serve up smiles by the scoop.

Focaccia 14th Ave – Vero Beach, FL

Downtown Vero just got a little more delicious with the arrival of Focaccia 14th Ave, the newest pizza spot to open in the heart of the city. Located in the former Barefoot Café near the historic Theatre Plaza, this casual Italian eatery offers a menu full of comforting classics, including pizza by the slice. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a display window filled with fresh slices and other tempting treats. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite to go or sitting down for a whole pie, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes it easy to stay awhile. We tried the Grandma pie—crispy, saucy, and absolutely delicious.

Niki’s Pizza – Vero Beach, FL

In a town with nearly 30 pizza spots to choose from, Niki’s Pizza is making waves as the newest name in Vero Beach’s thriving pizza scene. Owned by Niki Capobianco—daughter of John and Collete Capobianco, founders of Vero’s very first pizzeria, Cap’s Pizza—this family clearly has marinara in their veins. Drawing on that legacy while adding her own spin, Niki has created a welcoming space that’s been buzzing with activity, even during the slower off-season months. We stopped by to see what all the excitement was about and weren’t disappointed—the pizza was delicious, reminiscent of Cap’s, but with a fresh, personal twist that’s all Niki’s own.
