New Restaurants for Valentine’s Day in Indian River County

Over the past six months, more than 11 new restaurants have opened across Indian River County, marking the most additions we’ve seen during any period since this bi-annual roundup began over five years ago. With so many noteworthy newcomers to the local dining scene, we decided to split this feature into two parts. This month’s focus highlights select new restaurants offering romantic and indulgent dining experiences that are especially well suited for a Valentine’s Day celebration. From refined menus to intimate atmospheres, these newly opened spots create the perfect setting for a memorable night out with your sweetheart. Next month, we’ll feature the remaining new restaurants in a separate article, showcasing even more exciting additions to Indian River County’s dining landscape.

Atmosphere at Vero has quickly established itself as one of Indian River County’s most refined new dining destinations, making it an excellent choice for a romantic Valentine’s Day celebration. Opened in September 2025 by Mike and Maria Mendez, this family-owned restaurant was created to fill a gap in the local dining scene by pairing upscale cuisine with live jazz and an elegant, intimate atmosphere. Daddy’s Donuts adds a sweet new stop to Indian River County’s lineup of breakfast treats and makes a fun option for a Valentine’s Day morning indulgence. Owned by Lacy Jackson, who brings more than 20 years of experience to the craft, this newly opened donut shop focuses on freshly made donuts ranging from familiar classics to more adventurous creations, including flavors like Dubai Chocolate. The response from the community has been immediate, with Daddy’s Donuts selling out by 11 a.m. on its very first day. It has quickly earned a spot among my go-to donut stops in Indian River County, and is one we highly recommend checking out.
