I had the pleasure of visiting South Beach Pizzeria II in Vero Beach, Florida—a brand-new, family-owned gem that just opened its doors in the former Station 49 Pizza location in Downtown Vero Beach. This spot is already making waves with its mouthwatering hot honey pizza, irresistible garlic knots, and classic cannolis.
The pizzeria is the brainchild of Justin Stolaj, who, after years of honing his craft in the family business, decided to turn his passion into his own culinary venture. Justin shared that making pizza and bringing smiles to his customers is a labor of love, not just a job. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, the pizzeria boasts a modern ambiance accented by charming VW bug photos. The service was top-notch, with a warm and welcoming staff that made the experience all the more enjoyable.
Here’s a look at what we enjoyed on our summer night:
Garlic Knots – These crowd-pleasing, bite-sized delights featured a perfectly golden-brown exterior, giving way to a soft and fluffy interior. Each knot was infused with a rich, garlicky aroma and finished with a buttery glaze that made them irresistibly savory.
Meatballs – This appetizer featured two generously sized, perfectly seasoned meatballs nestled in a rich marinara sauce.
