Ristorante Corleone Restaurant Review

I first discovered Ristorante Corleone as I was scrolling on Facebook. The photos of their food definitely caught my eye, so I reached out to schedule a review. Owner and Executive Chef Luca Fontanarosa and I share a similar story. We both spent over 20 years in the Information Technology field, but our true passion was to follow our dreams and work in the culinary industry. Chef Luca was born and raised in Catania, Sicily (Italy). After receiving his Computer Science degree, he decided to move to the United States to pursue a career in the IT field. After 25 years in the industry, Chef Luca decided it was time to retire and follow his true passion for food and cooking. He enrolled in culinary school in 2014 and he graduated earning a Culinary Diploma in only 2 years. He gained valuable hands on experience by working at several restaurants in the Syracuse, NY area. In early 2017 he moved to Port St Lucie with the intention of opening an Italian restaurant. In 2018 the right opportunity presented itself and he was able to open Ristorante Corleone!

Now let’s dive right in and see what this place has to offer and what I had to eat!

Dining Room
CROSTINI FIOR D’ITALIA – Garlic crostini topped with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and a balsamic drizzle. The prosciutto was the real star of this appetizer, it was of impeccable quality, and was very tender and easy to bite through.
PAPPARDELLE AL RAGÙ DI CINGHIALE – Pappardelle noodles tossed in a Wild Boar Ragù. I looked at the menu before the review and this is one dish I hoped Chef would serve to me, and it did not disappoint! The pasta is made in house and was cooked perfectly. The wild boar sausage gave the Ragù sauce a rich meaty flavor.
OSSOBUCO ALLA MILANESE – Slow braised veal ossobuco served over Carnaroli risotto. The meat was so tender, no knife was needed. I was able to easily pull it apart with just my fork. The meat was perfectly seasoned and the risotto was rich and creamy!
AFFOGATO – Espresso is poured over gelato and topped with whipped cream and studded with pirouettes. A perfect way to end an incredible meal. Not too sweet and the right portion size too! It was delicious!
