Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe Restaurant Review – Fort Pierce, Fl

Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe has a fascinating history behind its name and inception. The owners, Telisa and Rich, shared a dream of one day opening a restaurant & coffee shop. In 2016, they had an opportunity and opened their doors in the historic downtown area of Social Circle, GA, situated on sacred Indian grounds. The cafe’s name is a combination of the location, referred to as “sacred grounds,” and their specialty with coffee “grounds”. The name honors the cafe’s connection to the area’s rich history and highlights its excellent coffee offerings.

Fast-forward to 2022, after their son Andrew moved to Fort Pierce, Rich & Telisa considered moving to Florida as well. During a visit for spring break, they fell in love with the area and decided to stay. They immediately began searching for the perfect spot to open their restaurant & cafe and believed that God led them to this new location. Excited about the possibilities, they quickly began discussing ideas and decided to take the plunge. Telisa’s enthusiasm and energy drove the process forward, and they knew that this was where they were meant to be. They are thrilled to bring Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe to the Fort Pierce area and start this new chapter in their lives.

Now let’s dive right in and see what this restaurant has to offer and what I had to eat!

Blue Coffee Cup with a Latte at Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe in Fort Pierce Florida

Latte – They kept telling us how great their coffee was, so we had to try one. It was served piping hot, it was smooth, creamy, and it was quite delicious!

A HUGE plate of Chicken Nachos from Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe restaurant in Fort Pierce florida

Sacred Grounds Chicken Nachos – They are made with crispy house-made chips, grilled chicken, fresh veggies, and a creamy nacho cheese sauce with a hint of spice. The portion size is huge, making it a perfect meal or appetizer to share with friends. The chips steal the show with their crispy edges and satisfying crunch.

Jumbo seared sea scallops served over a bed of rice topped with a pink orchid flower, served with broccoli, crustini, and a side of beurre blanc sauce from Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe in Fort Pierce Florida

Seared Scallops – Fresh jumbo scallops are seared and served over a bed of rice and topped with a savory lemon beurre blanc sauce. The scallops were U10s and quite a generous portion. The rice had great flavor and texture, the broccoli was perfectly prepared, according to my dining partner’s feedback, and the beurre blanc sauce was a standout, featuring bright and tangy lemon notes that paired perfectly with the scallops.

A large platter with 2 slices of Meatloaf & Mashed Potatoes topped with brown gravy, served with a side of sweet & savory charred brussels from Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe in Fort Pierce Florida

Southern Style Meatloaf – Nothing says Southern comfort quite like meatloaf and mashed potatoes & gravy! This dish was amazing from the moment it was presented to us until the very last bite. The portion size was generous, as is typical of all their dishes, and I had the pleasure of taking half of it home and enjoying it once more. The potatoes had a pleasingly chunky texture and were enhanced by the delicious bits of skin, while the charred Brussels sprouts provided a perfect balance of sweetness and savory flavor, making them the ideal complement to the dish.

Two desserts, a slice of chocolate peanut butter pie and Dolly Parton's Banana Pudding Cake made by Cakes by Suzanne served at Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe located in Fort Pierce Florida

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie and Dolly Parton’s Banana Pudding Cake were the perfect way to end a wonderful meal. All desserts are made by “Cakes by Suzanne”, a local baker in Fort Pierce. These were just two of the many options to choose from. We at the Treasure Coast Foodie, recommend you get a to-go box for your leftovers, and don’t skip dessert!
