Salvador Deli Restaurant Review – Vero Beach, FL

An iconic mainstay of Vero Beach is Walking Tree Brewery, located at 3209 Dodger Rd. It has it all, award-winning brews, huge (24,000 sq ft) open air vibe with rustic charm, a flurry of activities all week long, friendly staff, but the one thing it lacked (until recently!) was food service. We are, by nature, a pretty hungry group, especially when meeting up at Walking Tree with friends for a happy hour, a game of corn hole, listening to a band, or playing trivia on Tuesday night. Although we always hoped to discover a food truck waiting for us outside, it was never a guarantee. Enter Salvador Deli… the newest, permanent addition to the Walking Tree space!

Owners Linda Moore and Courtney Cotherman are already well known for their culinary creations at the popular downtown eatery Kilted Mermaid, and at this new venture, their focus is on “elevated pub fare,” perfect for the brewery loving crowds. You can expect a hearty list of offerings; from snacks, handhelds, pizzas, salads, and mouth watering bowls. Let’s dive in to see what we had to eat last week at our first Salvador Deli visit!
Loaded Tots – Pork, beer cheese, bacon bits, Salvador sauce, sriracha mayo, pickled salsa, and candied jalapeños. But seriously…it had me at just pork and beer cheese! A tasty lil’ appetizer that would go down well with an ice-cold brew!
Salvador Antipasto Salad – Prosciutto, salami, capicola on a bed of spinach with fresh mozzarella, giardiniera, and olives. I love a good antipasto, and this one fit the bill. The dressing was on the plentiful side, so if you like yours a bit drier, order the dressing on the side. Big enough to share, which is a nice bonus!
Pork Tacos – Slow roasted pork topped with slaw, salsa, and Sriracha mayo. The pork was juicy and flavorful, but of all the entrées we tried, we were disappointed in its size. It’s more of a snack size, not an entrée size.

Tuna Poke Bowl – Marinated tuna, edamame, pickled radishes, red cabbage, seaweed salad, sriracha mayo, sushi sauce, topped with furikake and served over rice. If you’ve ever ordered this at Kilted, you already know it’s coming out fresh and delicious. It’s everything you’d expect from a good quality poke bowl.
Ratatouille Pizza – Eggplant, zucchini, red bell pepper, onion, and tomatoes on a vegan crust. This 12” pizza was delicious! Crispy crust, and a good balance of zesty sauce and toppings. I’ll definitely order this again!
