Silverado Vineyards Wine Dinner at Costa d’Este

This past Thursday, Feb 25th I had the pleasure of attending my first wine dinner at Costa d’Este. The event began in the front covered courtyard with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a Rock Shrimp Cake appetizer. From there, we then moved into the ballroom for the remainder of the evening. The wines featured at this event were from the Silverado Vineyards located in Napa, California. Pamela, a wine rep from the vineyard, discussed the history of the vineyard and the wines before the meal began. Here is a brief overview of the history of the winery from their website “A gem in the heart of Stags Leap District, Silverado Vineyards is about to embark on its fourth decade of producing estate-grown, produced, and bottled fine wines. In 1981, Ron and Diane Miller and her mother, Lillian Disney, established Silverado Vineyards to make wines from the historic sites of their estate. The estate is comprised of over 600 acres. Forty percent of the land is preserved, and 360 acres are sustainably farmed and certified Napa Green.” For more information about this winery, please visit their website at https://silveradovineyards.com/
