I had the pleasure of visiting one of my all-time favorite restaurants, Taco Dive. Tucked away on the Treasure Coast, this restaurant is far from being an average hole-in-the-wall. In fact, it is a remarkable find, a place where every bite is bursting with flavor and personality.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The decor is funky and eclectic, and the staff is friendly and down to earth, creating a welcoming ambiance that makes you want to stay awhile. But what truly sets Taco Dive apart is its food. This restaurant offers a unique twist on traditional Mexican cuisine, serving up a variety of inventive and delicious tacos, along with other mouthwatering favorites. Each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, ensuring that every bite is a flavor explosion.
Here’s what we had to eat at the Downtown Fort Pierce Taco Dive location!
My sister ordered the kids’ chicken taco with a side of tater tots, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the melted cheese added a delicious touch to the dish.
The blackened shrimp taco was my dad’s pick, and he couldn’t stop raving about it. According to him, the shrimp was incredibly juicy, and the blackening seasoning added just the right amount of flavor to complement the dish. The taco was also topped off with crisp lettuce, providing a refreshing finish to each bite.
The Grouper Cheeks Taco was their Friday night special that featured grouper cheeks marinated in buttermilk, fried to perfection, and topped with a bed of lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions, and a drizzle of chipotle lime sauce. My mom had this dish and raved about how delicious it was.
The marinated steak taco at Taco Dive is a must-try for steak lovers, so I just had to try it! Topped with cabbage, tomatoes, radishes, queso fresco, and their signature dive sauce, every bite was packed with flavor!
