Location & Atmosphere

Located off Hibiscus Boulevard in Melbourne, Terra Craft has a modern look with earthy charm that subtly ties into their global concept. Minimalist white walls, sleek black details and light wood furnishings give the restaurant a clean, understated feel. Plant accents add warmth throughout the space, including a “Terra” sign filled with botanicals that hints at the global inspiration behind the concept.

That same attention carries over to the ingredients. The bread is baked locally in Port St. Lucie, delivered fresh daily and made without preservatives. From there, Terra builds sandwiches influenced by flavors and ingredients from around the world. I tried three, each with its own flair.

Ribeye Steak

First up was the Ribeye Steak, made with ribeye, white cheddar, braised scallions, chimichurri aioli, refried bean fondue and shoestring potatoes on a pressed hoagie roll. It’s a fun twist on a classic without straying too far from what you’d expect in a steak sandwich. The sweetness of the scallions balances the hearty bean fondue and cheddar, and the ribeye has a nice sear without being dry. I especially loved the shoestring potatoes, which add an unexpected crunch among the softer ingredients. The fries weren’t forgettable either. They’re that crispy kind with a golden, textured exterior and a mashed-potato-like softness in the middle.

Turkey Club

The Turkey Club is a tower to tackle, yet somehow doesn’t feel overpowering. Hand-carved roasted turkey, applewood-smoked bacon, mixed greens, white cheddar, Terra Crunch, tomato, avocado crema and chipotle aioli are stacked between three slices of sourdough. The chipotle aioli was the star for me, bringing an incredible combination of sweet, spicy and smoky flavor. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, and I loved the addition of mixed greens. On the side, creamy mac and cheese topped with breadcrumbs made for a rich, comforting addition to the meal.

Chicken Al Pastor

I saved my favorite for last: the Chicken Al Pastor. This sandwich is a combination of cultures unlike anything I’ve had before. Chicken seared on a plancha, a Spanish metal plate, is paired with grilled pineapple, cilantro aioli and chili sambal slaw, all tucked between two flaky parathas, a South Asian flatbread. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, but the cabbage slaw stole the show. Its tangy dressing and crunch complemented the sweet pineapple and creamy aioli perfectly. If you’re unsure what to order, this is the one I’d recommend.

Why Terra Craft Sandwiches is Worth a Visit

Behind Terra Craft are sisters Amanda Manzano and Gina, who brought their different backgrounds and a shared love of food and travel together when they opened the restaurant about two and a half years ago. One came from healthcare, bringing a strong focus on customer care, while the other’s experience with travel helped inspire the global influences found throughout the menu.

Even the name reflects that vision. “Terra” ties back to the world, fitting for a menu that borrows flavors and techniques from different cuisines. With weekly specials, fresh ingredients and a typical ticket time of around six to eight minutes, Terra Craft proves a quick lunch doesn’t have to be a boring one.
