Event Planner / Tour Operator

We are hiring for an Event Planner / Tour Operator position! We’re looking for help with the planning and execution of monthly Foodie Meetups, Chef’s Table dining experiences, and food tours in Sebastian, Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, and around the Treasure Coast area. We also need help with our Golden Fork Awards Ceremony and the Treasure Coast MasterChef Competition events that take place in February / March 2023.

Job Requirements

  • Great communication skills are a MUST!
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues
  • Planning event details, including transportation, seating, dining, and guests
  • Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
  • A self-starter who can work independently and get the job done with little supervision
  • Reside in the Sebastian, Vero Beach, or the Fort Pierce FL area
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Most of our planning meetings and communication with our clients can be done remotely via zoom, email, text, or FB messenger, but light travel for in-person meetings and to assist at our events will be required and may become more frequent as needed the closer we get to the event date(s).

As a foodie tour operator, travel to our client’s location may be required in the beginning to establish the relationship with them, then on a tour day, travel to our first restaurant stop in Vero Beach / Sebastian / Fort Pierce is required for your assistance. Tours may be conducted on weekdays, but also may include Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a Part-Time 1099 commission-based contract position, which means you will be responsible for your own taxes. Commissions will be paid out at the end of each event/tour, or on a monthly basis, whatever we decide is best for both parties.
