Having spent most of my life in the Midwest, we would vacation here several times per year and just fell in love with the area. When deciding where we would move to, we took several discovery trips and always enjoyed staying in Vero Beach. With Cravings being one of the only quick-serve places on the island open that early for breakfast (at that time), we would grab a bite to eat there before we started exploring for the day.
Cravings is hard to miss when cruising down Ocean Drive, with its blue awnings and central location, they are right in the middle of everything. They do have a large outdoor covered patio to keep you dry from stray afternoon showers, and a few tables inside if you prefer air conditioning. With a huge menu that includes baked goods, sandwiches, salads, house-made granola, coffee, tea, and of course ice cream, there is something on their menu to satisfy just about everyone!
Looking for a gift for that hard to buy for person on your shopping list? A gift card for Cravings is always a great idea! Buy a $50 gift card, and get a $10 gift card for yourself! Stop by and pick one up today!

Now let’s dive right in and see what this place has to offer and what I had to eat!

Regular and Gluten-Free Baked Goods
Fresh Baked Goods – Butter Croissant, Cherry Turnover, Pecan Sticky Bun, and Cinnamon Roll.A Wonderful Selection of Cookies – Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, M&M Chocolate Chipper, GF Breakfast Bar Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, GF Breakfast Bar Oatmeal Raisin Walnut, GF Walnut Chocolate Chipper, GF Toasted Coconut Almond, and Heath Bar Chocolate Chipper.Gluten-Free Baked Goods – Pumpkin Bread, Carrot Walnut Cake, Key Lime Pie, Zucchini Bread, Red Velvet Cake, and Vegan Paleo Brownie Bites.
Fruit & Nut Salad Plate – Fresh blend of artisan lettuce, with a scoop of chicken salad, fresh apples, mandarin oranges, sprinkled with dried cherries & candied pecans. The salads are freshly made to order and the chicken salad is made daily. The greens were crisp and I love the sweetness and texture of the orange slices and the dried cherries. The Grilled Green Goodness – It’s made with fresh spinach, avocado, goat cheese, provolone cheese, and pesto mayo grilled on whole wheat bread. I’ve had this one twice now, it’s just so out of the ordinary, and different from what you expect a normal sandwich to be. I LOVE it!Corned Beef Reuben – It’s made with lean corned beef, locally made sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing on grilled seeded rye bread. The bread was nicely toasted, the corned beef was sliced nice and thin, and the kraut was plentiful and had a nice tang!Grilled Cubano – It’s made with seasoned pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and a mustard sauce on a grilled baguette. While most will argue it’s not a true “Cuban” sandwich, in my opinion, it’s more like a Tampa Cuban-style sandwich which is known to have mayo on it. Regardless, it’s still one of the best in the area and quite delicious. The baguette is one of the highlights. It’s nicely toasted, but still has a great chew to it.
Ice Cream
Salted Caramel Chocolate Covered Pretzel Ice Cream sandwiched between Cravings Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yes, folks, it’s as delicious as it looks! While chocolate and peanut butter are my favorite flavor combos, this comes a close second! It’s a bit messy to eat since the cookie is freshly baked that day, but so worth it!
