For 25 years, the pizzeria was the brainchild of George, a charismatic and eccentric figure who infused every pizza slice with a dash of his vibrant personality. His wild stories and dedication to authentic New York-style pizza made Giorgio’s a beloved spot among locals and visitors alike.
However, the winds of change blew in when Rick and Bridget arrived in Vero Beach 2 1/2 years ago, seeking a new chapter in their lives as empty nesters. Drawn by the serene charm of the area, they stumbled upon Giorgio’s, where they discovered not just exceptional pizza, but also a potential opportunity for a fresh start. After several visits and heartfelt conversations with George, the couple decided to take the plunge and purchased the pizzeria, marking their first foray into the restaurant business. With a deep respect for Giorgio’s heritage, Rick and Bridget are now on a journey to uphold its traditions while injecting their own passion and innovation into every cheesy, doughy delight served at Giorgio’s New York Pizzeria.

Now let’s dive right in and see what this place has to offer and what I had to eat!
I’m always on the lookout for a fantastic meatball sandwich, and Giorgio’s Homemade Meatball Parmigiana Sub absolutely delivers! Packed with homemade meatballs, a generous helping of marinara sauce, and a blend of mozzarella & provolone cheeses, all sandwiched between a perfectly toasted bun, this sandwich is absolutely delicious. The meatballs are tender and flavorful, the sauce is rich and savory, and the cheese adds that perfect gooey finish. I’m already counting the days until I can enjoy this again!
The next dish I couldn’t resist trying is their Lasagna, and let me tell you, it was an excellent choice! The portion was more than generous, topped with their house-made marinara and a flavorful cheese blend, and baked to perfection. Served alongside a fresh house salad and garlic knots, it made for a complete and satisfying meal. The pasta sheets were al dente and easy to cut through with just a fork, the sauce was rich and savory, and the cheese blend created the perfect cheesy pull with each bite!
The first pizza I ordered was the N.Y. White Pizza. I got the 16″, which is considered their “medium” compared to other pizza places where a 16″ is typically a large. Made with fresh dough crafted in-house daily and hand-tossed to just the right thickness, is topped with olive oil, garlic, fresh basil, Italian spices, Parmesan, mozzarella, Asiago cheese, and finished with dollops of fresh ricotta cheese. The garlic and ricotta were definitely the predominant flavors on this pie, and for garlic lovers, this pizza is a must-try. I can’t wait to stop by and order it again soon!
Next up was the Margherita Pizza, a sizable 20″ pie that’s considered their large. Made with fresh dough crafted in-house daily and hand-tossed to just the right thickness., it boasts a delicious combination of fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, fresh tomatoes, basil, grated cheese blend, and olive oil. As a fan of saucy pizzas, I was pleased with the generous amount of sauce they used. Margherita pizzas are celebrated for their simplicity, and this one certainly exceeded my expectations.
Indulging my sweet tooth, I couldn’t resist trying two of their suggested desserts—the Limoncello Cake and the Chocolate Fudge Cake. Both were delightfully moist and incredibly delicious, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would definitely be the rich and decadent Chocolate Fudge Cake.
