Pusateri’s Chicago Pizza Restaurant Review – Stuart, FL

If you’re seeking a delicious escape to the heart of Chicago’s culinary legacy without leaving Stuart, Florida, Pusateri’s Chicago Pizza is where you’ll want to be. Under the stewardship of Tom Bean, a Miami native with deep roots in Sewall’s Point and Sailfish Point, this restaurant has become a beacon of authentic Windy City flavor in the Sunshine State. In a story that mirrors resilience and passion, Bean, a commercial jet pilot and seasoned yachtsman, took the reins of Pusateri’s in 2021, rescuing it from the brink of closure during the tumultuous times of the pandemic.

The Chicago-Style Dog is a symphony of flavors and textures on a steamed poppy seed bun. Customizable with yellow mustard, “Bright green relish,” chopped onion, tomato wedges, a dill pickle spear, sport peppers, and celery salt, this iconic dish delights with its smoky hot dog, crunchy relish, tangy pickle, and soft bun. It’s a taste of Chicago’s culinary heritage that promises to satisfy cravings for classic comfort food with each flavorful bite.

Italian beef sandwich as prepared by Pusateri's Chicago Pizza located in Stuart, Florida

Next up, I tried their Italian Beef Sandwich, a straightforward yet delicious rendition of this Windy City favorite. Featuring thinly sliced hot Italian roast beef on toasted bread, you have the option to dip it in seasoned au jus for added flavor. I opted to include the hot Gardiner for a bit of spice, which complemented the flavorful and tender roast beef perfectly. Overall, it’s a satisfying and classic dish that hits the spot.

Baked Ziti as prepared by Pusateri's Chicago Pizza located in Stuart, Florida

Moving on to the delightful Baked Ziti, I was treated to a comforting Italian classic that exceeded expectations. This dish features penne pasta with creamy ricotta cheese and marinara sauce, all baked to perfection under a blanket of melted mozzarella. The combination of ricotta and marinara created a lusciously creamy sauce that coated every bite of the perfectly cooked al dente pasta. The golden-brown layer of mozzarella added a delightful cheesy bite to each forkful, making it one of my favorites during this review.

Chicken Parmigiana as prepared by Pusateri's Chicago Pizza located in Stuart, Florida

Continuing my dining experience, I tried their Chicken Parmigiana, a classic Italian favorite. A hearty portion of breaded chicken breast, fried to a golden brown, was served on a bed of spaghetti and baked with mozzarella cheese. The chicken retained its crispy texture, especially around the edges, and the seasoned coating added a rich flavor to each bite. Paired with the savory marinara sauce and melted mozzarella, it was a satisfying and comforting dish that hit the spot.

A large 16 inch Chicago Fire pizza as prepared by Pusateri's Chicago Pizza located in Stuart, Florida

The standout dish at Pusateri’s Chicago Pizza was definitely the Large Chicago Fire pizza, a spicy masterpiece designed for heat lovers. Topped with meatballs, thin-sliced Italian roast beef, hot Gardiner, and a sport pepper garnish on a satisfyingly chewy, yet thin crust, this 16″ pizza packs a fiery punch that’s not for the faint of heart. The spicy kick from the hot toppings was exhilarating, and despite its heat, the flavors remained harmonious and balanced. I enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t resist grabbing a few more bites on the drive home, making it a must-try for anyone seeking a flavorful and fiery pizza experience.
